Sea Turtles always amazed me. The minute they are born they know that they have to get to the sea. Across several feet of sand they travel as fast as they can so they won't get eaten. Now that's ambitious!

Daring III. I just got my new scanner and am loving the difference in my pictures! So...please check out the other two "Daring" pictures and let me know what you think. Now If I can just get the Wacom to work with the scanner...and get a paint programme...I'll really be in business! 

Daring II. Nonny was the bravest person Binky Boy knew...she dared swim with the sharks!!

Spring on Delmarva

Beautiful Day on the Peninsula! This is one of my "expiramental plants." I find them in the woods or around the yard and transplant them. Everyone made fun and called it the weed tree for several years. Well she finally showed them! It's a beautiful cherry tree! I have an art piece on the way...I just can't pass up an opportunity to show my tree!!! 

"Alone" -Illustration Friday

"Alone " This was a picture (pen and ink) I did that ended up on a playbill for a show called "Extremeties." A very serious show that needed to have a thought-provoking picture to go with it. When I read that the word for Friday was ALONE this picture was the first thing I thought of. I hate being alone sometimes!

Travel III. OK. I promise this is the last one this week. I did this for an October ad a while back. Another piece I need to do in Wacom! Any and all comments always welcome (Constructive ones, that is.) I am still trying to build a portfolio so I can break back into the art world...I really-really want to try illustration.

Crowded. Illustration-Friday's Weekly challenge. Colored pencil and graphite. (Please click on the picture for better view...you can even magnify again if you like. The digital camera is NOT doing my detail justice at all!) Since Easter is coming up I decided to do an illustration of a fond memory I have of Easter. Every year we would get baby ducks and chicks along with our Easter baskets. Don't worry, we lived on a small farm...we raised them.

Bloom III - I still am partial to good old pen and ink. That is, until I get the hang of the Wacom. 

"Bloom II" Sorry...my puter keeps doing strange things. This is the picture that was in the post below! 

"Bloom II" . Another Wacom Experiment. Casper is home! I was double checking the locks on the house before going to bed thursday evening at 12:30 a.m. I happened to see something white in the neighbor's driveway. It was himself, Casper Boo Mow-Mow! It took about 30 minutes of me saying, "Casper, come to mommy" and him meowing loudly back before he decided to let me pick him up! He was about a week's worth of treats thinner and worried we got another cat to replace him, but he did settle and sleep for almost two days straight. He wouldn't go near windows or doors until last night. I am sure he learned his lesson.
So this is dedicated to our little wanderlust- Casper.

Gotta love this little guy! 

This is more like what "Chaos" is like in my like. I live by the principles of Murphy's Law.

"Bloom" This week's Illustration Friday Topic. Here is another expirament on the new Wacom. I have yet to download the free samples that are out there of Adobe, Paintshop, Corel and Dogwaffle. 

"Fragile III" This is my first Wacom piece!!! I am sooo excited.(I got it for my birthday today). This is a sandcastle...comments PLEASE!!! 

"Fragile II" The seven sisters discuss what to do with planet Earth. "Whatever shall we do with this planet? They are destroying themselves with pollution, hatred, anger and war?!"
