Neptune

Neptune-Illustrationfriday
This was a piece I did a while ago. As was the one below. I am currently working on a new piece that I fear won't be done in time.
Funny, I was so excited when I saw the word because I love all things "Sea" related (not to mention I am 15 minutes from the shore)! Yet it stumped me for a while this week end. Plus I am working on this Wabi-Sabi writing class and it takes up quite a bit of my time- but I am loving it! I forgot that I could write as well as draw!

My wabi sabi flowed until it blocked and then I had to move to collage - so I'd be ready to write again today.

I love this image, by the way, very powerful.

This is a very funky Neptune. Like the 60's poster style eyes. Great little details and nice line.

I love the linework here...the hatching and shading are marvelous, and Neptune looks like his strong, lusty self! Beautiful work, Ellen:>

I'm a fan of mythology if not the sea; I really like the little details in your pieces.

I think we might be in the same wabi sabi class, though, I have covered my head and eyes after so may emails, I've been afraid to surface. I will now. :O)

This is really wonderful. The detail is stunning. I really love it!!!

That is awesome. I lived in Hilton Head SC for two years. We had a shoebox sized apartment across the street from the beach. God, that was nice...

This is gorgeous! Simple black and white / pen and ink has such a lovely feel to it. I am glad you didn't add any colors! Bravo!
