Aging Ford- Illustration Friday #80

Aging Ford- Illustration Friday. This is coloured pencil and graphite. I knew everyone would choose old people as their subject and I really wanted to do a "rite of passage" but I got this book about painting weathered textures and wanted to try to get the same effect in pencil. I have yet to try my new watercolour pencils...anyone use them yet? How are they to work with. Posted by Picasa

This is a lovely drawing... and original.

Watercolor pencils are great.... I love the control they offer. I haven't used mine in a while... I'll have to pull 'em out.

I love your choice of subject. This is really nice.

I have yet to use my watercolor pencils, either. I really need to break them out and play with them a bit.

I use watercolor pencils a lot. Just experiment with them, you can get some really neat wet ev\ffects with them, whild having more control than with a paintbrush. They are a cross bvetween painting and drawing.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

There is a feel about this piece that I like. I don't know how to describe it.

Do create more pieces in this style. It's really nice.

This is one of my favorite. I love the good old country charm. I remember so many sitting around, just collecting the weathered years.
