Check out the other "Crowded" pictures here!

Crowded. Illustration-Friday's Weekly challenge. Colored pencil and graphite. (Please click on the picture for better view...you can even magnify again if you like. The digital camera is NOT doing my detail justice at all!) Since Easter is coming up I decided to do an illustration of a fond memory I have of Easter. Every year we would get baby ducks and chicks along with our Easter baskets. Don't worry, we lived on a small farm...we raised them. Posted by Hello

Bloom III - I still am partial to good old pen and ink. That is, until I get the hang of the Wacom. Posted by Hello

"Bloom II" Sorry...my puter keeps doing strange things. This is the picture that was in the post below! Posted by Hello

"Bloom II" . Another Wacom Experiment. Casper is home! I was double checking the locks on the house before going to bed thursday evening at 12:30 a.m. I happened to see something white in the neighbor's driveway. It was himself, Casper Boo Mow-Mow! It took about 30 minutes of me saying, "Casper, come to mommy" and him meowing loudly back before he decided to let me pick him up! He was about a week's worth of treats thinner and worried we got another cat to replace him, but he did settle and sleep for almost two days straight. He wouldn't go near windows or doors until last night. I am sure he learned his lesson.
So this is dedicated to our little wanderlust- Casper.

"Our Ancient Earth"

"Ancient" Illustration Friday entry for week ending March 13. This is called "Our Ancient Earth." I did this in 1990. It is of fossils. Since I am a collector (and seeker) of them it is a "passion within a passion!" Posted by Hello

"Sorrow" IFRI topic of the week. It's more realistic to call it a "challenge" I think. Though I feel I cheat with my ink because I know how that comes across. I like to challenge myself to be more cartoon-like, to work with different mediums. Though mostly I like to make the IFRI topic challenge me to think from different angles! I hope to publish another piece I am working on before Friday...more of a challenge. Posted by Hello

Flight

Flight II. This is my second Illo Friday interpretation of the "challenge" word. This is I.M. Footloose and Fan C. Free on their first balloon flight of the "S.S. Fancy!" So it's a "flight of Fancy!" Har,har, har! Sorry...I spent the first twenty years of my life entertaining on stage and local kid's tv shows...the "humor" comes naturally! LOL Posted by Hello

Illustration Friday

"Flight" This week's IF challenge. I admit I did this a week or so ago. How appropriate for Valentine's Day...the apple of my eye, my grandson- Dylan. It is a pencil idea for a book based on my grandson. He goes everywhere with his binky and a ball. Obnoxiously early, I know. Posted by Hello

"Year of the Rooster III" This is my third and final submission for the "rooster" topic. This pen and ink depicts a New Year float with a fu dog challenging the rooster who is unwaivered by his actions and remains balanced on a ball. They would be made of parachute material and lit from within. Don't forget to look at my previous entries! Posted by Hello
