Sacrifice

Sacrifice- "Sometimes we make sacrifices we aren't aware of!"
I'm not happy with this at all. However I am posting it all the same.

  4. Love it. Love the message. A metro plex or another Wal*Mart...jeez, where will it end? Great job with the animals personalities and the perspective is nicely drawn as well!

  8. Looks like what is happening in our neck of the woods. There is one area where they ripped up trees and put LOTS of houses...and, do you know what they named this subdivision? "The Preserve." How ironic is that?

    Great illo...and, a wonderful message!

  10. This defintely resonates with me! We had a gorgeous public golf course on the main road that was so serenely beautiful. I'd see it in the morning all covered in mist and see the sunset at the end of the day...it was a long expanse of nature in a rural area that's rapidly developing. Then..."they" dug it all up and put in a mall! Now this looks like "Main Drag, Anywhere, U.S.A." Oh well... I like your illo. The little animals seems puzzled, and they should be.

  14. This is such a cute interpretation for something so horrible! You've got such a graphic and whismical style.

Mall-Culture, I think, is one of the great evils of our time. They are dominating compounds that promote homogeny and completely suck the soul out of daily life! For real, yo!

  15. Ewe changed your icon!
This was a difficult topic. I lucked out on mine... but boy, did I need a quote to get my thoughts rounded up.

  16. I couldn't come up with anything for this topic, but I reckon you've nailed it. The innocent naivete of the wildlife and their struggle to comprehend what is imminent is a fine message and nicely done.
